We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring supplier quality development activities from the prototype phase through to PPAP approval (SOP + 6 months). You will play a key role in ensuring supplier readiness and compliance with quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinate supplier quality development activities from prototype to PPAP approval
  • Support supplier development to meet cost, quality, timing, and risk targets (PO CES & IATF 16949)
  • Implement and monitor APQP processes at supplier sites
  • Contribute to supplier selection through risk assessments and documentation validation
  • Lead quality-related communication with suppliers during development phases
  • Monitor and report PPAP progress, risks, and convergence plans
  • Conduct process audits and validate corrective actions
  • Archive and validate PPAP documentation and initial samples
  • Support component transfer from development to production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Quality, Engineering)
  • Escalate risks and report issues to the Supplier Development Leader (SDL)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations

 

Our requirements:

  • Experience in supplier quality or development engineering, preferably in the automotive sector
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 standards
  • Ability to conduct audits and assess supplier capabilities
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
