MAIN MISSIONS

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance routines on plant and equipment.
• Improve the reliability and robustness of plant and equipment.
• Install and modify plant, equipment and associated systems.
• Diagnose and correct faults on electrical, electronic, plc, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Identify components required to carry out work and liaise with external suppliers to obtain parts.
• Liaise with other departments to agree access to equipment, and work required.
• Document work carried out and contribute to the department’s and plant’s Key Performance Indicators.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner.

CORE SKILLS

Electrical / electronic engineering, mechanical engineering.

EXPERIENCE

• Experience within an automotive maintenance environment and knowledge of maintenance systems desirable.
• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI's (Human Machine Interface) beneficial.
• Experience with plastic welding is advantageous.
• Flexible approach with good teamwork skills.
• Able to respond quickly to any breakdown situation.
• Knowledge and experience of improvement techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of a Level 3 Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
