Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for leading the local mexican Projector development team and its results. Ensuring the development according the company Projectors strategy in alignment with the global MLM team.
- Ensuring professional training and staff development in conjunction with key users of all the particular competences. Ensuring professional training for the adaptation of the newcomers.
- Support of the team members in setting goals and their evaluation in company defined time periods.
- Team capacity planning together with Lead Projector Engineers. Identification of resources gaps and initiation of recruitment activities in conjunction with Projectors management.
- Motivation and coaching of team members in critical situations. Monitoring Lead Projector Engineers in leading the projects.
- Responsibility for assigning and monitoring team tasks and priorities in conjunction with global Projectors management.
- Responsibility for regular reporting of project results by Lead Projector Engineers
- Responsibility for administration related topics regarding the department and reporting from all the team members accordingly.
- Support of documents preparation for the group / cost-center budget.
- Supervision of compliance with internal processes.
- Close cooperation with teams working on standardized solutions like MPP, uLED...
- Close cooperation with Global launch support team to support smooth launch phase.
- Support and checking of the projects timing plans and customer milestones ND, LMU...
- Support and checking of the project TDR proces, connected documents and internal milestones.
- Challenging optical/mechanical/electronical design of projector unit on running programs in order to prove technically best/cheapest solutions.
- Escalation possible threat to customers specification, timings to manager, before it will happend.
- solving operational tasks related to customer requirements/escalations.
- Support on patence clearence verification of designed solutions.
- Cooperation with other departments in compliance with internal processes.
- Support of continuous processes improvement in conjunction with Projectors management.
- Performs other activities according to the superior's instructions which do not contradict with the position's activities.
- He/she complies with EHS, fire protection, internal regulations and applicable legislation at his/her work.
- Identifies and fosters a local successor for his/her position
Required education:
- University Education, Engineering or Physics field of study
Required Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience in the automotive industry in the field of product development, lighting technology advantage
- Experience with team / project leadership preferred, good communication and organizational skills
- Upper – intermediate knowledge of English (German, French, Spanish or Italian very welcome)
- Professional knowledge / Technologies / Methodologies
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Windows
- Good overview of automotive lighting industry technologies
- Base knowledge of CAD (CATIA advantage), GD&T, DFMEA, simulation tools

- Spanish skills would be good but are not required
