The Legal Specialist supports the Legal Manager in managing legal matters related to all Business Groups in Mexico. The role involves providing legal assistance, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and supporting business operations through effective legal counsel, documentation, and risk management.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and drafting of contracts: Assist in drafting, structuring and negotiating various types of contracts, including framework contracts for services, supply, leasing and construction contracts, transportation and supply chain contracts. Review and management of confidentiality agreements, amendments and settlement agreements.
- Legal support and advice: Ensuring that the company operates within the legal boundaries of the country by providing support and advice to mitigate and identify risks in operating in Mexico.
- Administrative and litigation support: Collaborate in the management of proceedings with state, municipal and federal authorities, as well as private bodies to safeguard the company's interests.
- Cross-functional collaboration with regional compliance team and with Corporate, Real Estate Legal in France.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Customs, providing legal guidance focused on compliance with OPmobility laws and policies.
- Participation in global projects: Assist with legal aspects of global operational projects involving partners or suppliers based in Mexico.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Education Level: Law degree.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a legal position, preferably in a corporate environment with manufacturing activities.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance, risk management and corporate legal practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team and with internal and external clients
- Results oriented and pragmatic approach, with the ability to see the broader picture
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to quickly integrate industry and company specific knowledge.
- Strong ethical independence
- Strong track record of performance and legal analysis;
- Good language skills: Spanish native speaker, Fluent in English; French or Portuguese is a Plus;
