Industrial Project Engineer (Paint & Decoration)

Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate the construction/expansion of manufacturing facilities and coordinate the design, installation and startup of new production equipment.
- Leads industrial projects related to Painting & Decoration manufacturing lines.
- Ensures liquid application and robotics commissioning activities with the plant and equipment supplier are performed correctly to reach the expected quality and performance levels.
- Supports OEE and scrap convergences in the different plants (optimization/performance improvement projects, lead optimization /performance improvements in quality of application for Antifog and Hard coating processes).
- Leads productivity improvement projects (test and validation of new application methods, sprayers, product transfer efficiency, cycle time, etc).
- Defines the best liquid application parameters in accordance with customers’ specifications and application tools by developing standards and training sessions.
- Leads the internal training around the liquid application (path programming methodology, brush development, process control, etc).
- Supports trouble-shooting activity related to the Antifog and Hard Coating processes including the liquid application and robotic stations.
- Defines the industrial hypotheses (Country, site, industrial diagram, logistics, etc) related to the Industrial Process Performance Lighting & Decoration platform.
- Consolidates the volumes to take into account and define the production equipment specifications.
- Assist in the development of industrial supplier contracts pertaining to Lighting Painting & Decoration.
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Prepare requests for capital expenditures (CAPEX).
- Develops plant specific equipment specifications including automated Paint lines for Lighting & Decoration.
- Order plant specific equipment (Capacity + Standard).
- Develop and manage industrial timelines and associate corrective actions as required.
- Track the supplier production and accept the plant specification equipment.
- Finalize the production line (Lay out within the plant), train the production team.
- Produce the first production parts with the Plant organizational Team, manage start-up.
- Produce the industrial trials, Qualify the new production lines, Control Plan Training.
Required Profile
- Engineering degree related to the field.
- Knowledge of the Antifog & Hard Coating process industry-Specifically for Lighting & Decoration (a must).
- Knowledge of Automated Paint & Decoration Line Designs and Installation (a must).
- Knowledge of automotive OEM Customer Requirements & Specifications (a must).
- Skilled in Computer Software use (Windows, MS Project, AutoCad, MS Tools, etc).
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to interface with customers, suppliers & associates.
- Project Management Skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relations.
- Leadership and team playing.
