Main Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, inventory targets, and business objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure material availability, production continuity, delivery performance, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Oversee material planning, inventory control, and supplier performance to support uninterrupted production operations while driving cost efficiency and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Materials Planning team, ensuring effective resource utilization and fostering a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage raw material planning and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring accurate management of materials in transit.
  • Drive site capacity planning activities, balancing customer demand, production capabilities, labor availability, and operational constraints.
  • Ensure accuracy and governance of master data, including key planning parameters such as MOQ, Lead Times, Goods Receipt Times (GRT), Safety Stock, and MRP-related settings.
  • Utilize SAP, primarily the PP (Production Planning) module, while supporting integrated supply chain processes through MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales & Distribution) modules.
  • Manage and interpret customer EDI schedules, including DELFOR and DELJIT, ensuring accurate demand translation into production and material plans.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and escalation processes to resolve supply issues, mitigate risks, and ensure operational continuity.
  • Drive inventory and cost optimization initiatives, including premium freight reduction, expedited shipment control, and working capital improvement.
  • Define and maintain safety stock strategies that balance customer service, production stability, and inventory investment.
  • Lead supplier claims management activities to recover costs and improve supplier accountability.
  • Develop advanced planning reports, dashboards, KPIs, and capacity analyses using SAP and advanced Excel tools.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across planning, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.

 

Required Profile

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Master Planning, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain Planning within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SIOP/S&OP, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and capacity planning.
  • Advanced SAP experience, primarily in PP, with working knowledge of MM and SD modules.
  • Experience managing MRP parameters, material master data, inventory strategies, and planning processes.
  • Solid understanding of EDI releases (DELFOR and DELJIT).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and planning.
  • Fully bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
