Main Responsibilities
- Support the Customer Quality Engineer by monitoring customer-reported quality issues and implementing immediate containment actions.
- Perform process audit controls in the assigned area (molding, decorating, or assembly) according to the product control plan.
- Ensure proper use of first-piece checklists, visual aids, boundary samples and inspection criteria within the assigned area.
- Assist in validating implemented corrective actions and assessing their effectiveness.
- Maintain continuous communication with Customer Service Quality Engineers.
- Audit and review the assigned area at least once per day, including verification of Poka-Yoke devices to ensure proper functionality.
- Coordinate daily activities for the assigned quality auditors.
- Ensure strict adherence to all documented procedures and instructions from the Quality System within the assigned area (molding, decorating, and/or assembly).
- Develop PDCA analyses for internal issues and lead the daily quality meeting in the assigned area.
- Create internal quality alerts based on internal complaints or findings.
- Monitor and improve internal scrap rates and internal PPM performance according to established indicators.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using the Kaizen methodology.
- Ensure compliance with the Non-Conforming Product Handling Process.
- Promote a zero-defects philosophy by defining preventive actions aligned with the Quality System.
- Exercise decision-making authority in critical situations that may compromise product quality or customer-specific requirements.
Profile Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- English: Conversational level.
- Knowledge of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3.
- Experience in the automotive industry as a Tier 1 supplier.
- Proficiency with Core Tools: APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, and MSA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
