Main Responsibilities
- Oversee, develop, and manage supplier relationships and commodity strategies to ensure a high-quality, cost-effective, and timely supply of required materials and services through effective supplier performance management and SAP-based negotiations.
- Oversee and manage assigned suppliers, products, and product categories to ensure the company receives materials, parts, assemblies, finished goods, and services that meet quality requirements, technical specifications, low-cost objectives, and delivery expectations.
- Support procurement and sourcing needs driven by new product development programs and engineering/commercialization sustainability initiatives.
- Manage changes to ensure timely and cost-effective implementation while meeting established effectiveness requirements throughout the supply chain.
- Conduct risk assessments of critical and complex supply chains and related supply chain elements.
- Develop and implement appropriate strategies to support the company’s short- and long-term plans and operational excellence initiatives, including the identification of opportunities.
- Evaluate and develop alternative sources to improve quality, cost, and/or delivery performance.
- Monitor and report inventory turnover and shrinkage (i.e., breakage, returns, product obsolescence) and develop ways to optimize inventory.
- Minimize costs and maintain flexibility throughout the supply chain.
- Establish metrics and maintain records related to purchased materials and services to monitor cost, purchased-part variance, quality, delivery, logistics, and inventory performance.
- Communicate and coordinate sourcing strategies with Production Planning, Manufacturing, Quality,
- Regulatory Affairs, Sales & Marketing, and Finance to ensure efficient and effective implementation.
- Develop and maintain internal knowledge of global procurement markets, key industry players, and market trends.
- Understand, comply with, and enforce the plant’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and guidelines.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in similar role/function.
- Able to hold business conversations in English
- Experience using SAP.
