MISSION
Project Specific Investment buyer's mission is:
Evaluate Assembly supplier market
Create and implement a strategy for a given product portfolio.
Develop robust suppliers’ panel.
Establish contracts
Support Sales and project teams to have most cost-effective solutions to gain business
Manage supplier risks
Develop business plans
Ensure proper supplier management in accordance with the industry’s standards
Track and achieve yearly objectives within given timeline.
Support Cross functional teams (Supply chain, Program buyers supplier quality)
To develop in depth knowledge of their commodity’s market and cost structure
Responsibilities & Activities
SUPPLY BASE MANAGEMENT
Design, implement and present commodity strategies
Create and maintain close contact with different departments (Project, development, quality, legal, finance)
Develop global and robust suppliers’ panel according to automotive standards
Build cost models
Conduct suppliers’ capability studies by performing on-sight evaluation audits with development and quality team
Communicate Business plan with suppliersCONTRACT IMPLEMENTATION
Negotiate and deploy standard agreements with core suppliers
Ensure that contractual conditions and group procedures are well applied and respected by suppliers as well by project teams
Support group objectives in terms of savings and cash flow improvementTRANSVERSAL PROJECTS MANAGEMENT
Capacity management
Transversal RFQ management (including sourcing, RFQ process, negotiation, nomination, validation follow up etc)SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
Performance and scorecard follow up with suppliers (including action plan management)
Supplier requests for change management
Support project buyers to obtain best economic conditions
Problem solving and look for alternative solutions
