Responsibilities :
- Daily analyzes transport needs based on transport orders and customer delivery windows, service levels and other planning parameters (inventory) and plans shipments on time accurately based on TMS data (Excel forbidden),
- Resolving the inconsistency of Transport Orders with plants, suppliers supporting the freight audit specialists
- Consolidate loads to improve efficiency and reduce empty runs,
- Plans and optimizes multi-leg, multi segments shipments,
- Coordinates shipment with warehouse, carriers and customer/ supplier shipping instructions,
- Monitors delivery status and proactively tracks potential disruptions,
- Adjust plans dynamically in case of exceptions and urgent shipments.
- Deliver real-time highest level of visibility to stakeholders. Proactively notifies all parties on delivery status or incidents and takes immediate actions to mitigate the consequences in cooperation with involved parties
- Keeps the TMS system up to date with all relevant information
- Controls hours of service, road weight and size restrictions, HAZMAT rules if applicable and plans orders accordingly to ensure on-time delivery
Profile :
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation or equivalent professional experience welcomed
- Certification in logistics, freight forwarding (FIATA), HAZMAT/ DGR welcomed
- 3-5 years' experience in Automotive Control Towers (shipper and /or 4PL) with successful track record of hands-on physical transport operations
Key technical competencies
- International & Domestic (Road, Sea and Air) Inbound and Outbound Cargo Operational experience with following functionalities: transport order management, operational planning & booking, execution management
- Good understanding of MX, US/CA cross-border customs operations
- Mexico and US transport market knowledge: laws and regulations (such as Carta Porte etc) and security programs (C-TPAT & OEA,)
- Awareness of customs regulations and processes
- Deep understanding of different planning techniques including the functionality of TMS and load planning tools,
- Deep understanding of carriers operating model and knowledge how to work with transport service providers,
- Advanced desktop computer skills including MS Excel and Outlook,
