Main Responsibilities

 

  • Overseeing material planning, production planning, and customer service to ensure uninterrupted plant operations, driving cost efficiency and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the planning and customer service team, ensuring effective headcount utilization while fostering a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage raw material planning and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing excess, obsolete inventory, and ensuring accurate tracking and management of materials in transit aligned with production and financial targets.
  • Ensure accuracy and governance of master data, including key supply chain parameters such as Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ), Lead Times (LT), and Goods Receipt Times (GRT), supporting efficient planning and procurement processes.
  • Manage critical supplier relationships and lead structured escalation processes to resolve supply issues, mitigate risks, and ensure continuity of operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Drive cost control initiatives, including management of premium freight and extra shipments, while optimizing logistics decisions to balance service and cost efficiency.
  • Define and maintain appropriate safety stock strategies, balancing service levels, production stability, and working capital objectives.
  • Lead supplier claims management to recover costs, improve supplier accountability, and support overall financial performance.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across procurement and material control processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support overall plant performance.

 

Required Profile

 

  • Proven experience in procurement, production scheduling, and customer service within the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Fully bilingual Spanish/English.
  • Expertise in inventory management, supplier performance, and cost optimization.
  • Solid experience using SAP system.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Commitment and flexibility in supporting critical operations according to business needs.
