Job Summary-
To provide total logistics support to the manufacturing operation and to ensure that the manufacturing operation has sufficient components /raw material necessary to meet the build schedule and achieve targets set forth in the supply chain scorecard.
Reporting Relationship-
This position reports directly to the Materials Manager.
Essential Functions
1. Manage component and resin procurements / communications to support Master Production Schedule
2. Create supplier forecast and oversee all related part set up and planning parameters in ERP system (Mfg-pro)
3. Support supplier EDI processes
4. Optimize component inventory planning levels
5. Support inbound freight cost using and optimization of delivery frequencies
6. Ensure on-time delivery of ordered items and escalation of delivery issues to support supplier delivery requirements
7. Manage part change process to reduce / eliminate obsolescence exposure and protect SOP requirements
8. Issue SNCR’s (Supplier Non-conforming Reports) to suppliers for delivery / logistic related issues
Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures Additional Responsibilities
1. Support and develop component storage strategies to optimize material flow including new program launches
2. Participate in system accuracy and cycle count compliance processes to ensure inventory accuracy
3. Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office
4. Must successfully complete all required training
