About the Role
We are looking for a SMT Production Engineer to join our team and optimize production processes on the main assembly line. This role involves analyzing performance, improving process parameters, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency and quality in a dynamic automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize production processes on the main assembly line through analysis and modification of process parameters.
- Create and update technological documentation (work instructions, parameter sheets, visual aids).
- Analyze micro-downtime on assembly machines and identify root causes.
- Monitor and analyze assembly line performance (OEE).
- Conduct PFMEA to assess potential failure modes and their effects.
- Investigate mechanical downtimes and failures on assembly lines.
- Analyze component/product rejects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide operational support for troubleshooting issues on the assembly line.
- Participate in tool selection for the production area, evaluating production capability and suitability for serial production.
- Support serial production and resolve technological issues in collaboration with Quality and Tooling departments.
- Implement solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce cycle time, material usage, tooling wear, and production waste.
- Apply methodologies such as 8D and contribute to improving Cp and Cpk indicators.
- Collaborate with process engineering team to establish performance standards and with Quality team to resolve supplier quality issues.
- Work with other teams and units to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
Profile
- Higher education in Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within electronics production.
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
Skills
Hard Skills:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (basic level).
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Effective communication and proactive approach.
- Strategic thinking and quality orientation.
- Ability to provide feedback and share knowledge.
