We are looking for a Logistics Engineer based in Nový Jičín, Czech Republic
LOGISTICS ENGINEER
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of material flow between production halls and storage areas
- Planning and execution of component storage according to MIN/MAX levels, proposing new storage strategies, and optimizing WIP material quantities
- Designing and implementing layouts of storage locations
- Knowledge of physical, system, and process flows
- Knowledge of and ability to navigate the SAP MRP system
- Active identification, analysis, and resolution of operational issues
- Optimization of packaging materials and storage of inter‑operation packaging
- Setting up primary logistics flows for new projects
- Continuous improvement of efficiency in logistics processes
- Setting KPIs for measuring the efficiency of processes, equipment, and human resources
- Creation of logistics concepts
- Optimization of material flows
- Implementation of lean manufacturing principles
Cooperation with Other Departments
- Cooperation with PI – layout, standards, solutions
- Cooperation with Launch during the implementation of new programs
- Cooperation with other logistics partners in the area of internal logistics
- Cooperation with the Packaging Department – consultations, proposals
- Cooperation with the Technology Department – process consultations, proposals for new innovative processes
Support of Internal Logistics
- Resolving and assisting in crisis situations – replenishment issues, material‑flow collisions
- Training employees – processes, standards
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in Logistics
- Strong expertise in material flow, with overlap into layout planning and continuous improvement knowledge
- Experience with SAP
- Solid logistics foundation is essential
- Good command of English
