Optical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize optical designs for automotive front lighting systems, with a focus on projector modules.
- Ensure photometric performance and compliance with customer and legal requirements.
- Perform optical simulations, analyses, and validation activities.
- Support evaluation and continuous improvement of optical product performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development.
- Provide technical support for customer discussions and project activities.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, optical calculations, and new product development.
Requirements:
- University degree in Optics, Physics, Optoelectronics, Photonics, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in optical design and development of automotive front lighting systems.
- Strong understanding of photometry, optical principles, and light propagation.
- Experience with optical simulation tools.
- Knowledge of automotive lighting regulations (ECE R149, FMVSS108).
- Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA, Creo, or Inventor is an advantage.
- Experience with projector modules is highly preferred.
- English language skills sufficient for working in an international environment.
- Driving licence B and willingness to travel occasionally.

Please note: This position follows a hybrid working model. During the first months in the role, regular onsite presence in Nový Jičín is expected to support onboarding and training. After this period, the position follows a hybrid model with 3 days onsite and up to 2 days remote per week.
