As a Senior Homologation Engineer you will be a key expert ensuring that our exterior lighting products meet global legal and regulatory requirements throughout their full lifecycle. You will work at the interface between engineering, testing, project teams, and authorities, directly contributing to successful market launches worldwide. 

We are now looking for a Senior Homologation Engineer to strengthen our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín, supporting global product approvals and regulatory compliance across our advanced lighting portfolio. 

Responsibilities:

• Act as a regulatory expert for global exterior lighting regulations and standards, ensuring correct and consistent application.
• Lead and manage Type Approval and certification activities for exterior lighting products from concept phase through series production.
• Prepare, update, and maintain internal design guidelines, certification processes, and procedures.
• Coordinate preparation of documentation, samples, and applications for approvals with internal teams and external authorities.
• Ensure early compliance during concept and detailed development phases, including authority consultations where required.
• Manage and maintain global Type Approvals, certificates, and extensions, ensuring long term validity and traceability.
• Create, archive, and maintain all legally required certification documentation and correspondence.
• Plan and coordinate certification activities efficiently, balancing timing, cost, and resources.
• Maintain internal certification and project databases with accurate, up to date information.
• Work confidently with authority portals such as IDIADA, VSCC, and UTAC to submit applications and track progress. 
   

Requirements:

• About 5 years of experience in certification, approval, or a similar technical role.
• Solid knowledge of automotive exterior lighting regulations and global certification processes.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, optical, and functional product design, with the ability to interpret legal requirements.
• Experience working with authority portals (IDIADA, VSCC, UTAC).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform under pressure.
• Intermediate English level and a proactive, solution oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and support others.
