The role of Senior SW Architect is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Novy Jicin, Czech Republic.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze system functionalities and translate them into clear software requirements
- Design and maintain embedded software architecture for automotive lighting applications, ensuring modularity and reuse
- Develop and review source code in compliance with coding standards (mainly C)
- Integrate, test and debug embedded software components
- Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cybersecurity, and Automotive SPICE
- Collaborate closely with product electronic leader, hardware engineer and system engineering team
- Collaborate closely with global software development and validation team
- Contribute to CI/CD processes and continuous integration activities
- Maintain and extend reusable internal software libraries
- Support technical estimations and provide architectural input for new projects
- Work with SW quality teams to ensure process and product compliance
Requirements:
- University degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong experience in embedded software development (automotive preferred)
- Excellent programming skills in C and solid knowledge of microcontrollers and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN)
- Experience with AUTOSAR architecture and methodology
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 functional safety standards
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Python)
- Experience with MBD tools (MATLAB/Simulink) is welcome
- Familiarity with Agile (SCRUM) and traditional (V-Model) development approach
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, Polarion or DOORS, and Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluent English and ability to work effectively in an international environment
