Systems Engineer (Automotive Lighting)
The position works closely with cross-functional development teams, including system architecture, mechanical, electrical and optical design, test management, quality, industrialization, purchasing, project teams, suppliers and customers. The role also supports the RFQ process, system architecture definition and system test preparation.
The role of Systems Engineer (Automotive Lighting) is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín, Czech Republic.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Management
- Analyze customer, stakeholder, legal, safety, security and supplier requirements
- Decompose high-level requirements into clear system requirements
- Own and maintain system requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Organize and lead system requirements reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure requirements traceability, structure, documentation and reporting
- Prepare compliance matrix, assumptions, exceptions and requirement-related project documentation
- Trigger and support change request processes, including impact analysis of requirement changes
Project, Architecture and Test Support
- Support product and system architects in translating requirements into system architecture
- Assist lead engineers in preparing lower-level technical requirements
- Support system test teams in defining test cases, KPIs and validation criteria
- Support RFQ teams by analyzing initial customer requirements and identifying risks, assumptions and gaps
- Contribute to the project ramp-up after award and support alignment between customer expectations and project execution
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanics, Physics or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in requirements engineering or similar function
- Experience in system engineering will be an advantage
- Good knowledge of a Requirements Management Tool like Polarion and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of ISO 15288 or system engineering processes will be an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 or functional safety will be an advantage
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams
- Independent working style, analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Good English communication skills
