We are looking for a Tooling & Moldflow Simulation Engineer to join our development team and act as a key technical expert in plastic injection molding, rheological behavior and process simulation.
The role combines process engineering, CAE simulations and tooling development, with strong interaction across R&D, manufacturing and customer interfaces, primarily within Lighting / Automotive applications.
The role of Tooling & Moldflow Simulation Engineer is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín, Czech Republic.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and analyze injection process simulations (e.g. Moldflow) using finite element methods.
- Rheological behavior of molten plastic materials.
- Develop, tune and optimize plastic injection molding parameters (machine settings, process stability, fine tuning).
- Support product design for injection molding manufacturability.
- Control and optimize injection processes using in-mold sensors during tuning and serial production.
- Support development, validation and industrialization of injection molding tools.
- Work closely with R&D, Tooling, Quality, Manufacturing and Customers in a multifunctional, international environment.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in engineering (Plastics, Injection Molding, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
- 3–5 years of proven experience in injection molding and process simulation.
- Hands-on experience in tooling development and injection process tuning.
- Injection molding equipment (machines and peripherals).
- Injection tool design.
- Comprehansion of molding processes.
- Automotive lighting components (design, tuning, specifications, validation, customer quality, problem solving, functional analysis).
- Strong customer orientation and quality mindset.
- Team spirit with high level of autonomy and accountability.
- Ability to communicate effectively in multifunctional and multicultural environments.
- Analytical, statistical and deductive thinking.
- Fluent English – daily professional communication required.
