Job Objective :

Ensure the reliability of measurements, the compliance of inspection instruments, and actively contribute to the site’s quality management approach. The Metrology–Quality Technician is responsible for maintaining traceability of measurement equipment and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality control processes. They are also in charge of the inspection process used to validate laser welding.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Metrology
•    Manage the measurement instrument fleet: track internal/external calibrations, perform periodic checks, and carry out first-level maintenance
•    Ensure metrological traceability in compliance with ISO standards (9001, 17025, IATF 16949, IRIS…)
•    Participate in the reception and commissioning of new measurement equipment
•    Perform dimensional inspections on finished products or parts in production
•    Analyze measurement deviations and contribute to resolving discrepancies


Quality
•    Support the implementation of quality control plans (incoming inspection, production control, product release)
•    Validate laser welding during production
•    Identify, record, and follow up on non-conformities found in metrology or during quality controls
•    Propose corrective and preventive actions (5M, 5P, 8D, etc.)
•    Draft or update inspection instructions and quality procedures related to metrology
•    Contribute to internal and external audits within the metrology/quality scope


Tools and Environment
•    Conventional measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, JTC...
•    3D measurement tools: CMM, articulated arms (e.g., Romer, Faro…)
•    Microscope (VHX7000 or equivalent)
•    MS Office, calibration management software (if applicable)
•    Quality standards : ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, IRIS


Profile 
•    Bac +2/3 (or equivalent) in metrology, physical measurements, quality, or mechanical engineering
•    1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position in an industrial environment
•    Proficiency in measurement tools and strong analytical skills
•    Ability to read technical drawings and interpret ISO GPS tolerancing
•    Rigorous, organized, team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills
•    Capable of working independently in a demanding, standards-driven environment
