Job Title: Site HR Manager

Job Purpose:
To lead HR operations at a unionized plant, ensuring effective industrial relations, statutory compliance, and alignment with corporate HR policies. The role requires strong stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain a productive and harmonious work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industrial Relations & Union Management
Act as the primary liaison between management and union representatives.
Lead collective bargaining processes and manage wage settlements.
Handle disciplinary actions, grievance redressal, and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and agreements with unions.
Maintain cordial and constructive relationships with union bodies.
2. Statutory Compliance
Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws (Factories Act, ID Act, Trade Unions Act, etc.).
Coordinate with legal and compliance teams for audits and inspections.
Maintain accurate records and timely submission of statutory returns.
3. HR Operations
Oversee attendance, leave management, payroll inputs, and HRIS updates.
Manage contract labor and liaise with contractors for compliance and workforce planning.
Drive HR process improvements and automation initiatives.
4. Talent Management & Development
Support recruitment and onboarding of plant-level staff.
Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs for workforce development.
Implement performance management systems and career progression plans.
5. Employee Engagement & Welfare
Design and execute employee engagement initiatives tailored to a unionized workforce.
Ensure implementation of welfare schemes and health & safety programs.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
6. HR Reporting & Analytics
Maintain HR dashboards, attrition reports, and IR metrics.
Provide regular updates to plant leadership and corporate HR.
Qualifications & Experience:
MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.
12- 15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a unionized manufacturing setup.
Proven experience in handling unions, negotiations, and labor law compliance.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
