Manages the development hours budget for himself/herself using PAMS reporting.
Manages his/her metier perimeter (including metier experts & suppliers) during the whole development phase, with a focus on cost, quality, timing
Leads the customer APQP process to achieve the customer approval by deploying the customer specific requirements to the core team members and validating the core team deliverables before presenting to the customer with the Program Manager.
Represents PO and the project team when interfacing the customer for APQP reviews, complaint reporting and product quality reviews.
Identifies the gaps in the quality deliverables to the customer requirements back to the core team members and escalate to the Program Manager and Customer Quality Manager when there is a risk to achieve the project quality objectives & customer satisfaction.
Represents the Customer in PO when defining the acceptance to their requirements in internal product cosmetic audit & APQP evaluation reviews.
Deploys the Design for Quality into the project during OPTIMAP phase 2, through the input from the Customer Quality Manager & Plant Quality Managers, and ensures the actions that are defined by the core team members are effective
After the transfer of production equipment to the plant, provides feedback to the core teams members on the geometry, aspect & validation results for pre-series maturation up to customer approval.
validates & ensures conformity of prototypes shipments with the respect of the customer requirements & quality commitments
Supports the PO key decision making, risk, communication & project processes:
Prepares for the monthly Project Milestone reviews
At the end of each project phase and after the <<end of phase review>> with the Program Manager communicate any major quality risks that must be addressed in the milestones.
Attends each launch readiness meeting
Reports to the Quality Manager on a periodic basis with the status of the quality deliverables and risks.
Contributes to the perimeter change process by supporting the core team members for the quality evaluation of any proposed internal /external change.
Supports the plant team in order to ensure all quality processes are efficiently deployed into the plant organization and are effective to secure the start of production.
Supports the series / productivity’ change management teams for product / process changes / tools transfers that require updates to the customer APQP / approval documentation as part of OPTICHANGE.
Where a major customer or internal complaint has occurred leads the 8D problem solving process to meet the customer’s expectations.
Contributes to the continuous improvement of the company through the identification of lessons learned from the start of the project to the end via the communication of <<One Point Lessons>>, <<best practices>> & proposals to standards improvement.
