MISSION
Ensure that the personnel of the Process area comply financially and qualitatively (scrap & usage) with what has been established by the company, with a strong focus on safety and customer protection. Also ensure the application of best practices and company rules for the preservation and maintenance of the BMMs and peripherals in the blow molding area.
Monitor quality, safety, and efficiency of control systems, ensuring product quality. This includes adjustment, troubleshooting, continuous improvement of process control systems, alarms, error tests, or any equivalent device present on production lines.
Responsibilities & Activities
Responsibility 1: Manage and coordinate processes and maintenance
- 1.1: Ongoing management and leadership of activities that result in savings for the plant.
- 1.2: Provide strategic guidance and follow-up to define plant objectives.
- 1.3: Attend organizational meetings.
- 1.4: Be a member of the plant’s strategic management team – aligned with corporate strategy.
- 1.5: Develop and manage departmental policies and procedures for plant operations in coordination with the company.
- 1.6: Secure company assets using a proper maintenance plan.
- 1.7: Manage the blow molding process, process engineers, automation engineers, and SMED coordinator in action plan follow-ups.
- 1.8: Maintain departmental expenses within budgetary provisions.
Responsibility 2: Develop and maintain a safe environment and a capable workforce
- 2.1: Communicate and establish strong connections within the plant’s health, safety, and environmental system.
- 2.2: Ensure all HSE policies and procedures are respected and consistently prioritized as number one in the plant.
- 2.3: Ensure all team members know and follow safety rules.
Responsibility 3: Comply with applicable IATF 16949 and safety/quality guidelines
- 3.1: Ensure departmental compliance with ISO 14000, IATF 16949, and CQA policies and procedures.
Responsibility 4: Be aware of the impact on product quality and the importance of activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements.
Responsibility 5: Know the implications of the position regarding customer-specific requirements.
Responsibility 6: Participate in the plant’s energy-saving processes, meeting objectives and procedures to reduce electrical consumption.
Responsibility 7: Understand the financial impacts resulting from blow molding area performance. Establish and execute corrective and improvement plans to meet objectives.
Responsibility 8: Be aware of problems in other departments and support them with teamwork and a shared-purpose mindset.
Responsibility 9: Ensure the effectiveness of blow molding process control
- 9.1: Ensure production parameters are consistent with the “bibles.”
- 9.2: Guarantee effective process controls for BMM, finishing, assembly, utilities (e.g., DASIP Critipar with % tolerance and cycles within Critipar % tolerance; raw material feeding systems, etc.).
- 9.3: Define and coordinate rapid reaction plans in case of alarms or issues (e.g., network or system failures).
- 9.4: Troubleshoot process controls to identify improvement areas, potential degradation modes, and corrective plans.
- 9.5: Adjust the preventive maintenance plan based on process parameter trends.
- 9.6: Ensure well-documented process control systems to guarantee effective control, system maintenance, and data acquisition.
Responsibility 10: Communicate status, escalate problems, and train others
- 10.1: Report critical process control issues in daily production and rapid response meetings.
- 10.2: Escalate to Quality Manager and Plant Manager after identifying risks to assess the need to stop production.
- 10.3: Promote and ensure the use of process control systems in the plant.
- 10.4: Promote a process-control mindset at all organizational levels.
- 10.5: Train production, quality, technical, and maintenance teams to ensure optimal use and maintenance of control systems.
Responsibility 11: Continuous Improvement
- 11.1: Analyze KPIs and recurring process alarms to propose improvements and develop enhanced control systems.
- 11.2: Share best practices within the technical community and apply lessons learned.
- 11.3: Analyze DASIP Critipar coverage to propose continuous improvement plans.
Responsibility 12: Integrated Management System (IMS)
Within the scope of responsibility, comply with Quality, Safety, and Environmental rules that contribute to IMS process management and continuous improvement systems.
Responsibility 13:
This position has the authority and responsibility to stop any process that endangers personnel safety or health, causes significant environmental impacts, or affects product quality impacting customers—ensuring compliance with Quality System and SAASS procedures.
Responsibility 14: Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR) Compliance
The process leader is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable CSRs using the format IATF Applicability and CSR Matrix G__F-IMS-0009. An annual review or update following customer requirement changes is mandatory.
Integrated Management System (IMS)
For all personnel outside of MACO, Regional Leadership Teams, and Plant Managers: Within the scope of responsibility, comply with all Quality, Safety, and Environmental rules contributing to IMS process management and improvement.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields
- Master’s degree or job-specific courses preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a manager in a similar industrial role
- 3 years of experience applying process control
Job Technical Skills
- English (Advanced)
- Knowledge of polymer materials, plastic extrusion, blow molding machinery and peripherals, molds, cooling systems, etc.
- Knowledge of fuel systems, operations, and procedures
- Knowledge of quality standards and equipment
- Knowledge of financial mathematics
- Knowledge of safety, lockout/tagout
- Knowledge of inventory and budgeting
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience with DASIP characteristics in blow molding machines and finishing centers
- Knowledge of IT tools and systems (database management & data extraction)
- PES (Plant Execution System) skills are a strong asset
