SITE MANUFACTURING PAINT TECHNICIAN (m/f/d)

Location: Reinsdorf


1. Competence Requirements

Knowledge / Qualification

  • Engineering technician qualification

  • English language skills (spoken and written) beneficial but not mandatory

  • Good computer literacy

Previous Experience

  • Experience in programming and maintaining industrial robots

  • Experience developing robotic trajectories for paint application on plastic components

Key Technical Competencies

  • Programming robot movements (flame treatment, paint application, etc.)

  • Setting and documenting paint and flame treatment parameters

  • Fault detection and troubleshooting (preventive & corrective)

  • Software modification (robots, conveyors, pilot systems, 2K, HOT, etc.)

  • Understanding of HSE requirements

2. Missions

Overall Mission

  • Program robot trajectories and ensure high-quality paint applications

  • Maintain robotic equipment in optimal condition

  • Support and optimize paint shop processes

  • Ensure safety in the paint line


3. KPIs and Main Deliverables

  • Accurate and reliable robot path programming

  • Mechanical and operational condition of robotic equipment

  • Safety performance in the paint line

  • Right First Time (RFT)

  • Paint waste / paint consumption levels

  • Compliance with “Golden Painting Rules”

  • OEE Paint Shop

  • Process standardization

  • Paint quality evaluation


4. Activities

A) Robotics Programming & Maintenance

  • Program robot movements

  • Modify and document programs and software

  • Program paint robots (flame treatment, application)

  • Set and document paint and flame parameters

  • Modify relevant software (robots, conveyors, pilot, 2K, HOT)

  • Detect and correct robotic failures (preventive & corrective)

  • Improve robotic applications and flame treatment processes

  • Monitor flame treatment results and paint usage

  • Provide initial guidance to robot operators (if present)

  • Maintain all robotic equipment

  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities internally or with external providers

B) Production Support & Documentation

  • Capture and record production data (SAP, SQP when applicable)

  • Participate in TPM processes

  • Ensure compliance with work instructions, legal requirements, and safety standards

  • Prevent defects and accidents through careful work and PPE use

  • Take immediate action when encountering unsafe conditions

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation

C) Collaboration & Project Support

  • During project phases: perform robot trajectory programming together with Sigmatech paint process engineers

  • Provide break coverage for other team members when required
