Site Assembly Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and optimize assembly processes and assembly equipment for industrialization and serial production launch projects
  • Manage the procurement, validation, commissioning, and handover of assembly equipment to production
  • Prepare technical specifications and evaluate supplier quotations in collaboration with the Purchasing team
  • Coordinate technically with equipment suppliers and monitor project timing, quality, and costs
  • Perform and support FMEA, ergonomics, HSE, and equipment assessments
  • Drive improvements in OEE, cycle times, equipment performance, and manufacturing processes while supporting productivity initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, ergonomics, and production standards

 

Profile:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
  • Several years of experience in assembly engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or equipment-related projects within the automotive industry
  • Good understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing equipment, and industrialization projects
  • Experience in the specification, commissioning, validation, and optimization of assembly equipment
  • Knowledge of FMEA, ergonomics, OEE, and REFA methodologies for work measurement, cycle time calculation, and process optimization
  • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken (mandatory)
