Job Description

Within the Industrial Excellence department, you will contribute to the development of technical content in plastics engineering and the structuring of strategic industrial databases. You will analyze project data to drive performance and participate in R&I trials to optimize processes and strengthen industrial know-how.

Main responsibilities:

Your main tasks will include:

1/ Contributing to the development of content in plastics engineering:

You will collaborate with our teams to create high-quality educational materials in plastics engineering, robotics, and automation. Your work will help train the next generation of industry professionals.

2/ Formalizing and automating our databases:

  • Machines: Improve our centralized database to allow automated tracking of information related to our renewal plan and support decision-making regarding priority actions.
  • Overhead cranes: Integrate our new lifting equipment database into the existing machines database.
  • Material handling systems: Set up a centralized database to efficiently manage raw materials used in our plastics manufacturing processes. This tool should support decision-making regarding equipment renewal needs or capacity increases.

3/ Creating a project database:

You will consolidate data from our various projects (cycle times, energy savings, etc.) into a centralized database. You will then use this information to extract key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling us to optimize our processes and make informed decisions.

4/ Conducting trials with the R&I department on the RIM process:

You will carry out trials with the R&I team on the RIM process to develop and consolidate industrial know-how. Your responsibilities will include preparing generic process FMEAs, improving technical specifications based on observations made during trials, and formalizing detailed test reports. If necessary, you will also plan and conduct design of experiments (DoE) to optimize process parameters.

 

Candidate profile:

  • You are pursuing a Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in Plastics Engineering.
  • You have an advanced level of English (C1).
  • You have strong knowledge of thermoplastic injection molding.
  • You have basic skills in numerical simulation using Moldflow.
  • You have basic knowledge in polymer characterization (FTIR, microscopy, DSC, MFI, moisture measurement).
  • You have some knowledge of VBA and programming.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI at an intermediate level.
  • You have intermediate skills in 2D and 3D CAD.
  • You are a good communicator, able to clearly convey information both orally and in writing.
  • You have strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • You are able to analyze complex situations and propose appropriate solutions.
  • You are adaptable and flexible in an international environment.
