Job Description

At the Purchasing department, your role will be to support the procurement of large industrial equipment (CAPEX) for the Business Group. You will be supported by three subject-matter experts based in Sigmatech. 

Desired start date: September 2026 
Duration: 1 to 2 years 

Main responsibilities:

You will be supported by your tutor, an experienced professional, and your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the selection and appointment of suppliers following the identification of industrial equipment needs within the company
• Analysing the industrial equipment supplier market in order to select the best options in terms of cost, quality, and lead time, and using the online purchasing tool
• Contributing to tenders and leading contract negotiations with selected suppliers in order to secure the best pricing and contractual conditions
• Supporting the team during site visits
• Collaborating with different departments within the company to ensure the satisfaction of industrial equipment needs and maintain smooth and effective communication
• Contributing to the optimisation of industrial procurement processes by proposing continuous improvements and innovative solutions
• Conducting ongoing technological and market monitoring to stay informed of market developments and identify new purchasing opportunities

The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and will be assigned progressively following onboarding and training.

Candidate profile:

• You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Business, Engineering, Commerce, Management, or a related field, with a specialisation in Purchasing
• You have an advanced level of English (B2/C1). Additional languages would be an advantage
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as well as Power BI. Knowledge of SAP would be a plus
• You have basic knowledge of stakeholder management
• You are curious, autonomous, and rigorous
• You have strong attention to detail
• You demonstrate strong analytical and synthesis skills
