Job Description

Within the Engineering Product Validation department, you will carry out physico-chemical analyses of recycled materials and identify defects in order to establish correlations with appropriate analytical techniques. You will contribute to knowledge capitalization by developing monitoring tools and drafting technical reports and analytical summaries.

Main responsibilities:

Reporting to the Product Team Leader, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting literature reviews on analytical techniques for recycled materials

  • Performing physico-chemical analyses of recycled materials

  • Identifying and analyzing material defects

  • Establishing correlations between observed defects and suitable analytical techniques

  • Developing a defect library dedicated to the analysis and characterization of recycled materials

  • Writing technical reports and analytical summaries

 

Candidate profile:

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (5-year degree) in Materials Science, Materials Chemistry, Plastics Engineering, or Polymer Science

  • Intermediate level of English (B1/B2)

  • Basic knowledge of polymer characterization techniques (FTIR, microscopy, DSC, MFI, rheometer)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong team spirit with good communication and summarizing skills

  • Able to work independently

 

Location: Sigmatech – Avenue du Bois des Vergnes, 01150 Sainte-Julie (40 km from Lyon, carpooling available)
