Job Description

Within the Design & Development Department, you will be responsible for validating the processability and geometric performance of alternative materials for large injection-moulded automotive parts made from fibre-reinforced materials, as well as determining and improving the predictive capabilities of post-moulding deformation simulations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work in an international environment, collaborating with plants, geometry experts, and material suppliers.

  • Collect, analyse, and compare data from injection moulding trials conducted on instrumented production moulds.

  • Assess the feasibility of replacing the reference material with an alternative material.

  • Perform injection moulding and post-moulding deformation simulations using different materials.

  • Compare actual measurements with simulation results to assess the level of correlation.

  • Collaborate with material suppliers and Moldflow teams to improve the correlation between experimental results and simulations.

     

Candidate profile:

  • You are currently pursuing a Master's degree (Bac+5) in Plastics Engineering or Materials Science.

  • You have an advanced level of English (B2/C1).

  • You have a good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • You have knowledge of numerical simulation using Moldflow, as well as CAD software such as CATIA and NX.

  • You have knowledge of plastics material characterisation, thermoplastic injection moulding, and metrology.

  • You are curious, open-minded, and enjoy working as part of a team.

  • You have strong analytical and synthesis skills and are well-organised.
