JOB DESCRIPTION
Based at OPmobility’s international R&D center, you will have the opportunity to participate in a cutting-edge research project focused on laser paint ablation to enable the industrialization of illuminated automotive exterior parts. You will be responsible for defining and conducting experimental tests in collaboration with our pilot line and laboratory teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define the tests to be conducted in collaboration with the pilot line and the laboratory teams
- Conduct laser ablation tests and analyze samples using techniques such as spectroscopy and microscopic analysis
- Analyze the results and establish correlations with process parameters
- Propose improvements and the next steps for potential industrialization
- Write detailed technical reports and present your findings to internal teams
PROFILE
- Graduate student (BAC+5) pursuing degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or similar field
- Understanding of optics and light interactions (lens operation, visible/infrared spectrus, etc.)
- Knowledge of plastic materials chemistry and paints
- Proficiency in Office 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Word & Excel
- Possesses advanced levels of fluency in English and French
- Strong communication and synthesis skills
- Organized, rigorous and analytical mindset
- Collaborative team player
- Curious and dynamic
DURATION
6-month internship starting June/July 2025
LOCATION
Sigmatech - Avenue du Bois des Vergnes, 01150 Sainte-Julie (30 km from Lyon - carpooling options are available).
COMPENSATION
