As a Sales & Business Development Manager (m/f/d), you drive the growth of OPmobility’s electrification business by structuring and accelerating commercial development across new and existing markets also besides automotive. Your team is in Salzgitter.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Key account management: governance, escalation, and commercial steering
- Lead the local Sales Team on all commercial aspects including business development, existing business, and service:
- Daily coaching and development of the sales team. Structuring workflows, reporting routines, and performance.
- Define, implement, and continuously adapt sales and business development strategies aligned with OPmobility’s global objectives + Build and maintain short, Mid, Long-term pipeline with clear growth indicators.
- Identify, prioritize, and penetrate new markets, with a strong focus on fragmented customer landscapes
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to acquisition. This includes negotiating pricing and conditions for existing and targeted businesses. + Drafting contracts, understanding of Service Level agreement and operational KPI’s, ensuring compliance of contract internally.
- Lead RFQ processes, including coordination with internal stakeholders and contribute to a strong technical and commercial pitch
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to identify growth opportunities
- Represent OPmobility at trade shows, exhibitions, and key industry events to strengthen brand visibility and generate leads
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, including key decision-makers and technical stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and technical solutions
- Coordinate with internal functions (sales, technical support, finance, project teams) to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to structuring and improving internal sales processes, tools, and best practices with known standard ISO and IRIS
- Monitor performance through KPIs and provide regular reporting and recommendations to management
Competencies & Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Proven experience of 5 years in Sales, Business Development, or Bid/Project Management within an industrial environment
- Ideally experience in electrification, battery systems, automotive, or mobility sectors
- Strong understanding of complex sales cycles and technical products
- Ability to define and execute market strategies in a dynamic and evolving environment
- First experience in team coordination, mentoring, or leadership
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Business acumen and strong analytical mindset
- Structured, proactive, and results-oriented with strong prioritization skills
- Curiosity and ability to navigate complex and evolving environments
- Fluent in English. German as an advantage.
