SITE EHS TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:
- Leads and champions the overall engagement and "safety culture" in the Plant.
- Acts as in-plant voice for EHS related issues, concentrating on at risk behaviors and conditions throughout the facility
- Verifies compliance with EHS standards, through auditing, observations and inspections
- Reviews written procedures to verify accuracy; lockout, & SOP’s
- Leads Safety Committee
- Participates in accident investigations and follow up on corrective actions identified through completion
- Tracks the following programs and identifies deficiencies; training database, roll-out compliance, and safety inspections
- Files EHS & Safety documentation according to both company and legal guidelines
- Conducts new-hire safety orientation
- Creates new programs and initiatives to increase overall safety awareness and engagement for plant employees.
- Coordinates waste handling including emergency response procedures
- Implements recycling initiatives
- Maintains current inventory of safety data sheets for all materials on-site
- Leads and plans monthly "Safety Kaizens" to address areas of opportunities and safety concerns.

- Interface with Managers for implementing Safety Policies.
- Be a partner with the business, through participation in the business planning, performance and operational reviews and other activities
- Advise Department Managers on safety best practices
- Identify needs, evaluate EHS practices
