Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs across various systems. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment, supporting our commitment to quality and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform repairs including welding, electrical work, and mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Programming robotic systems for automation purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Support facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting, HVAC repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Supervise or assist in supervising junior technicians or contractors during complex repair projects.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service internally.
- Lead safety initiatives related to maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience working with robotics in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in electrical installation controls.
- Interpret electrical schematics
- Experience programming industrial robotic systems for automation applications.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electromechanical systems.
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Hands-on electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Skilled in welding techniques with certification preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in manufacturing environments.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Supervisory or leadership experience managing maintenance teams or projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
