Responsibilities of « Mechanical Engineer » are :
- Provides technical support within the mechanical construction during product development leading to successful introduction into production.
- Develops concepts for innovative products with regard to feasibility, cost, lifespan, customer and legal requirements.
- Applies the best design and process practices ( DGL, Rules ), standard parts, Lessons Learned, CAD standards and CAD methodology and specific customer requirements.
- Provides suggestions for creating and updating DFMEA.
- Cooperates at creation of DFMEA, CAE plan, DV plan, component test and certification in compliance with the CDP/VPDS/VBOS, and customer specifications as well as legal requirements.
- Actively works within the team to support successful DV / PV and delivery of PPAP on time.
- Scouts for innovation opportunities, cost optimizations and actively participates in DCRM sessions and participates in their implementation in the project.
- Provides technical support to new business development (i.e. VQF, BOM, presentation, feasibility)
- Prepares and shares given project Lessons Learned.
- Support creation, maintenance and updates of design guide lines and rules.
Requirements :
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 experience in similar position, preferable in automotive industry
- Fluent English (written & spoken)
- CAD - DFMEA
