Responsibilities of « Optical Engineer » are :

  • Proposal and realization of the optical systems development based on customer requirements, feasibility and profitability, participates on creation of DGL. Development follows VPDS process.
  • Revision of optical parameters in wider group of optical engineers, active cooperation with another departments to find the best compromise, implementation of know-how learned on all other projects.
  • Preparation and realization of presentations for customer and suppliers. Proactivity in negotiation, solution proposals for customers requirements.
  • Timely hand over of the task results in relation with project milestones (prototype samples, data release to hard tool) and requirements from other departments.
  • Preparation and coordination of builds for presentation at customer, preparation of verification samples (incl. homologation), presentations at customer.
  • Analysis of first shots quality, support during tuning of the manufacturing process, in case of need preparation of the improvements and corrections. Support of the project launch.
  • Preparation and presentation of “Lessons Learned”.

 

Requirements :

  • Master’s degree in Optics or Physics
  • 3-5 experience in similar position, preferable in automotive industry
  • Fluent English (written & spoken)
  • CATIA, Light Tools
