Job description
Within the Tangier plant, the role is responsible for leading the installation, industrialization, and ramp‑up of new Injection Molding Machines (IMMs), automation systems, and auxiliary equipment. The position ensures that all new equipment meets OPmobility standards in terms of safety, quality, performance, and durability, while securing a robust transfer to Operations.
1. Equipment Implementation & Ramp‑Up
- Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of new IMMs, robots, central feeding systems, and thermolators in accordance with plant needs and OPmobility technical standards.
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, and ramp‑up phases, ensuring all milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Monitor equipment performance to reach expected cycle times, availability, and quality levels before handover.
2. Compliance, Validation & Handover
- Conduct equipment conformity checks (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, automation).
- Validate performance through structured protocols (FAT, SAT, run‑at‑rate, capability tests).
- Facilitate a controlled and documented handover to plant operational teams, including training, SOPs, and maintenance guidelines.
3. Methodology & Project Governance
- Apply and promote OPTIPRO work‑package methodologies to secure project discipline, risk mitigation, and robust documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement actions related to industrialization, equipment lifecycle, and standardization across the plant network.
4. HSE Responsibility
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards during all installation and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate supplier interventions on site, guaranteeing respect of OPmobility safety rules, permits, and environmental requirements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks linked to new equipment introduction.
5. Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact with equipment suppliers during installation and ramp‑up.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, HSE, and the Global Industrial Engineering network to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support technical negotiations and follow‑up actions with suppliers when deviations or issues are identified.
Profile
You are a Plasturgy or Chemistry Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a real interest in industrial processes and equipment. You work rigorously and in a structured manner, and you feel comfortable operating within a matrix organization, collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
You can manage and coordinate suppliers, ensuring that technical requirements, safety standards, and deadlines are met throughout equipment development and installation.
You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, and you ideally have experience with AutoCAD and Moldflow, which will support your understanding of injection processes and tooling.
You have solid analytical skills and enjoy troubleshooting, optimizing equipment, and supporting industrial performance. You are proactive, hands‑on, and able to work autonomously while maintaining clear communication with the wider team.
Curious, adaptable, and motivated, you are ready to contribute to a plant undergoing significant equipment implementation and process improvements.
You are fluent in English.
