Join Our Team as an EHS Associate Director - Americas!

About the Role:
As the EHS Associate Director - Americas, you will lead and coordinate Environmental Health and Safety Programs across all our sites in the Americas. This includes 5 manufacturing plants and 1 HQ in the US, 3 manufacturing sites in Mexico, and 3 manufacturing sites and 1 HQ in South America. Your role will be crucial in ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations and fostering a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety compliance protocols and procedures across all sites in the Americas.
- Design, conduct, and report on facility health and safety surveys; assess conditions to determine if staff or the general public may be exposed to unsafe or unhealthful conditions.
- Develop programs and investigate complaints related to safety issues such as walking/working surfaces, fall protection, ingress/egress, confined spaces, and other occupational safety concerns.
- Develop programs and investigate complaints related to environmental health issues such as noise, vibration, fumes, toxic chemicals, lighting, ventilation, asbestos, lead, and related occupational issues.
- Develop Requests for Proposals and contracts for health and safety assessments and management services; manage and oversee contract performance.
- Prepare technical reports and recommend corrective measures to improve health and safety conditions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of special sampling techniques and laboratory analysis procedures for unusual health and safety conditions.
- Review chemical, equipment, and product specifications to determine potential exposure to physical or chemical stressors and make appropriate recommendations.
- Evaluate personal protective equipment (PPE) used in branch facilities for effectiveness and recommend changes in the use of PPE.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities/safety and environmental roles
- Experience in a regional level/multi-site role
- Proficiency in computer software
- Certification in First Aid/CPR required
- Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations
- Experience within a union environment preferred
- Training in Ergonomics preferred
- Laser and X-Ray Safety Officer Certifications preferred
- ISO 14001, 45001 and/or 50001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred
