Job title: Head of Innovation - Americas

Location: PO Lighting USA Inc., Troy, MI.

Job duties: Plan and exercise control over POLS Lighting Innovation organization in the Americas Region (North and South America), building and leading a highly experienced team of advanced engineering professionals to define, develop, and bring to market future passenger vehicle (passenger car, truck, and sport utility vehicle) lighting systems and lighting electronics technologies and product applications (lighting products, hardware, and embedded software) including LED (light-emitting diode), lower cost Laser, improved OLED (organic LED, for surface illumination), and state of the art Quantum Dot (for surface illumination) lighting systems and lighting electronics and projection technologies, for enhanced vehicle driver, occupant, and pedestrian safety. Required travel in Michigan and California to meet U.S. and global OEM vehicle maker senior engineering and leadership employees to present new technologies and advance development projects; to POLS Monterrey Mexico plant for OEM customer meetings on pre-sourcing, and to Germany and France for quarterly/biannual Innovation organizations meetings, up to 8 weeks per year (equal to ~16% annual travel).

Education: Bachelor, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Systems Engineering, or related.

Experience: Sixty months’ experience as Engineer, Technical Specialist, Director, Innovation Officer, Senior Research Scientist, or related, defining, developing, and bringing to market future passenger vehicle lighting systems and lighting electronics technologies and product applications including LED and Laser, for enhanced vehicle driver, occupant, and pedestrian safety, or related.
