Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Management, Engineering or Equivalent
Professional /Technical Training:
PC / common working knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Knowledge / experience in project work
Facilitator-/presentation techniques
SAP / common working knowledge
Skilled negotiator
Intermediate to advanced Analysis skills
Technical understanding of product, parts and equipment

Essential Functions/Duties (job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation. The tasks are inherent in the position and specialized skills are required to perform the tasks)

1. |
Manage all plant specific and program specific Procurement needs (depending on the role: program development, series production, indirect purchasing, facility / MRO needs).. |
2. |
Lead RFQ process, negotiate pricing and terms, and properly contract all new business awards within defined budgets |
3. |
Interaction with the program team, plant, suppliers, and customers; participation in relevant team meetings |
4. |
Implementation of purchasing processes and achievement of objectives within the perimeter (program, series, indirect purchasing) |
5. |
Managing and communication of all purchasing issues related to the program, from development to series, including engineering change orders |
6. |
Develop and manage sourcing strategy in adherence with purchasing manager, commercial negotiation, preparation of sourcing recommendation, finalisation and negotiation of purchasing-related contracts and agreements with suppliers |
7. |
Managing commercial aspects on all purchasing parts: establishing contracts, negotiating payment terms, productivity plans |
8. |
Explore the market for new materials, supplies and processes in order to develop new sources and/or generate cost benefits and/or risk reductions |

For the commodities in charge, manage the suppliers’ panel: responsible for compliance with standard requirements (contracts, quality, sustainability), accountable for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability performance, lead negotiations, pilot VAVE workshops |
10. |
Cost Saving Initiatives: Initiate projects that will generate cost savings, lead other departments (ex: engineering, industrial, quality, sales, etc.) to ensure a successful and timely implementation |
11. |
Ensuring adequate contracted capacities at suppliers |
12. |
Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the supervisor and Plant Manager for Safety related matters requiring immediate attention. |
13. |
Escalation points to support Plants with supply issues: deliveries, quality, etc |
14. |
Understand and comply with company EHS policy |
