The Industrial Planning & Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to support decision-making and strategic planning within the industrial sector.

This role involves leveraging data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI to provide insights that drive capacity, investment, Customer RFQ and overall business performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience with data visualization, and a keen understanding of industrial processes.

Furthermore, the candidate will support strategic planning activities in strategic footprint studies, in yearly business planning, quotes and launch projects.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:

Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various industrial operations (Capacity, Equipment Database, Investments,..).

Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data to support business decisions.

 

  1. Reporting and Visualization:

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide real-time insights.

Create detailed and visually compelling reports in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and graphs.

Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring data is accessible and understandable.

 

  1. Process Improvement:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements based on data insights.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

Implement and track the effectiveness of recommended changes proposed by the team.

 

  1. Data Management:

Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data audits and validation.

Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and standard operating procedures.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.

 

  1. Planning:

Support all strategic planning activities by analysing the gained datasets and reports and by preparing meaningful presentations on executive level.

 

         6. Support and Training:

Provide training and support to team members on Excel and Power BI best practices.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (Data Science with Industrial process expertise)

 

Experience:

First experience in data analysis and/or strategic planning within the industrial sector.

 

Hard skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and macros.

Strong experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation and data modeling.

Familiarity with SQL and other data querying languages is a plus.

Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of data analysis tools and techniques, particularly Excel and Power BI.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify key insights.

Operations or Industrial background.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in data analysis and reporting.
