MISSION

Working as part of a quality assurance and quality control team, to develop processes, test procedures and implement systems that ensure the products and processes to fulfil quality standards and meet safety regulations, satisfying client expectation. Within OPmobility you will be part of a team of Quality engineers responsible for monitoring, testing and reporting on the quality of product supplied directly into the automotive market. The Warrington Plant sole supplies Jaguar Land Rover. The role is far from a standard auditor it is fast-paced, exciting and varied dealing with reactive challenges as well as proactive developments to ensure all areas of manufacturing provide the best service possible.

ACTIVITIES

  • Ensuring that for every quality incident, the right quality tools are applied by the production personnel. Providing Root cause analysis, action planning and application of containment measures.
  • Responsibility to define and release rework instructions and their application.
  • When necessary, defines a problem alert for critical internal and external issues.
  • Participate in regular part rejections analysis with the customer for 0km and Warranty.
  • Set-up a quality wall, manage (organises and trains) the quality wall and quality inspectors, according to the customer requirements or depending on the quality results,
  • Visit the customer regularly to establish a long-term relationship.
  • Apply and coach the use of 8D and QRCM in production. Maintaining the customer quality fast response board and process FMEAs.
  • Check/Audit that every poka yoke in place is tested by the production team at the start of every shift.
  • Participate and support MPM during run@rate and during all manufacturing readiness operations.
  • Develop together with the manufacturing engineering, CI and HSE, the Standard Work (SPS, SWI) for all production processes.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement Roadmap activity - as assigned.
  • Actively lead and support LL and DFQ process.
  • Support QRCM process in the plant.
  • Manage day to day activities of the quality technicians including training paths and quality mindset.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATON

  • You will have an Engineering or Science based bachelor’s degree. 
  • Be enthusiastic self-motivated with a strong analytical mindset. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • FMEA, MSA, APQP, PPAP training or experience advantageous
  • You will be computer literate with excellent excel skills.
  • Experience in automotive production sector desirable but not essential
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and an excellent team player
