  • University Degree preferably in a discipline like Business Administration, Management Science or Engineering
  • Specific Purchasing qualification either from academic or professional sphere (e.g. Certified Procurement Professional)

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry environment including minimum of 3 years in Purchasing (preferably indirect Purchasing)

  • Project Management Skills: Experience in planning and executing complex sourcing projects
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation capabilities to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Category Management: Expertise in managing various categories of indirect spend to optimize costs and value
  • Supplier Risk Management: Ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing procurement data to make informed decisions, predict future demand, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Leadership: Drive sourcing project teams consisting of internal customers and plant/site buyers to exceptional results
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication to convey procurement strategies and decisions to various stakeholders
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges and implement innovative solutions
  • Commercial Intellect: Understanding of market trends and business needs to align procurement strategies with organizational goals

  • Strategic Sourcing:

Lead sourcing activities across BGs and plants, understanding the various leverages at disposal to improve performance and drive synergies;
Ensure that sourcing strategies for indirect categories are developed and implemented in alignment with Global Domain Management to achieve cost savings and enhance supplier performance

 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement strategies with business objectives

  • Cost Optimization: Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities across various indirect spend categories

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service and continuous improvement

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with business rules and procedures

  • Contract Management: Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks

 

  • Purchasing savings (contribution to M2 savings, cost avoidance)
  • Completion of sourcings within agreed timeline
