MISSION

 

Responsible of the validation on electronics components and systems (E&E):

  • Specify the tests needed based on the functionality and the requirements to validate the product at component level and system level (High Voltage and Low Voltage). 
  • Perform the test at internal test bench and support for externalized tests.
  • Prepare the test plan, perform the test, analyze and post-process the data highlighting the relevant correlations, redact the test reports, make recommendations for product changes.
  • Create and execute tests representative of the real-life usage on the field at hardware and software level.
  • Own the test procedure and the test equipment, propose improvements to the test process, to the tools used and to the product development and validation workflow, and create / update the related documents.

ACTIVITIES


Testing

  • Redact the Validation Test Plan (Design Validation, Product Validation) based on component or system requirements (performance, durability, applicable norms) and boundaries.
  • Realize tests at system level and/or component level (High Voltage and Low Voltage) in internal labs and support the management of the externalized tests, create test automation scripts, analyze and post-process the data, make recommendations for product changes. 
  • Redact reports of tests, write test procedures, contribute to the definition of test cases like the Safety Case.
  • Create and document anomalies reports related to function limitation / issue (like SW bugs for example).
  • Participate to the product development and validation by verifying the software functions and features, by contributing to simulations optimization, by validating the design on a prototype and on a serial level, and by building and improving the correlation between lab tests and real-life usage. 
  • Support traceability between component / system requirements and test cases.

 

Testing guidelines

  • Redact testing guidelines on functions for follower applications by:
  • Explaining testing philosophy and scope (HW and SW) to the testing stakeholders (i.e.: Product Application Engineer).
  • Detailing validation tests to be performed depending on context (test versus hardware change or software change) and project scope.
  • Detailing validations to do as non-regression tests and depending on project scope.

 

Expertise and know-how

  • Develop Expertise by capitalizing lessons learned and sharing information within the company.
  • Update the impacted documents and create the missing ones when needed.
  • Introduce new tools and way of working to improve the efficiency.
  • Propose improvements on the process.

 

Laboratory

  • Respect the safety rules. 
  • Respect the storage rules and participate to the 5S method.
  • Contribute to the test means maintenance and calibration.
  • Contribute to new test means development.

  • Knowledge of and respect for internal deliverables related to his function and specific Customer requirements to which he/she contributes.

•    Quality

  • Compliance with internal PO division New Energies procedures including for example INPRO.
  • Must know the specific customer requirements (i.e., CSR, Customer Specific Requirement) for the projects assigned to him/her.
  • Must understand the impact of its activity on the achievement of quality objectives (products and services), and understand the potential risks induced by non-compliance of designed products delivered by PO division New Energies to customers.

•    Environmental and energy Safety

  • The function is performed in compliance with the HS2E provisions and rules established for his/her area of responsibility.
  • Occasional wear: safety shoes and various IPE from the workstation concerned in the laboratories.
  • Compliance with standards relating to environmental protection.
  • The employee must be an actor and apply the HS2E policies in force in the company.

 

REQUIREMENTS
  

  • Master’s degree in electronics, mechatronics.
  • English (German recommended) 
  • 3 years’ experience in component / system E&E testing and/or mechatronics.
