- Ensure the appropriate use of quality tools for all quality incidents through training, coaching, and leadership for production personnel.
- Lead root cause analysis, action planning, and containment measures (quality wall, controlled shipping).
- Define, release, and ensure application of rework instructions.
- Issue Problem Alerts for critical internal and external quality issues as required.
- Participate in customer part rejection analysis (0 km and warranty).
- Set up and manage quality walls, including organizing and training internal and third‑party quality inspectors.
- Maintain regular customer visits to build long‑term relationships.
- Apply and coach 8D and QRCM methodologies in production and maintain Customer Quality Fast Response Boards.
- Participate in PFMEA and Control Plan development in collaboration with Plant Quality Launch (PQL).
- Support definition of limit samples with project teams.
- Contribute to poka‑yoke definition for new products.
- Set up limit samples and Problem Alerts and organize training with production area leaders and operators.
- Contribute to or lead initial sample PPAP submissions and customer run‑at‑rate activities.
- Support Manufacturing Process Maturity (MPM) activities during run‑at‑rate and manufacturing readiness.
- Develop Standard Work (SPS, SWI) in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, CI, and HSE.
- Audit poka‑yoke systems to ensure testing at the start of each shift.
- Verify adherence to process controls and escalate non‑compliance.
- Monitor and update production quality indicators.
- Participate in daily scrap reviews.
- Maintain and archive quality documentation.
- Support layered process audits and 5S audits.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Roadmap activities.
- Lead or support cross‑functional working groups as required.
- Implement preventive actions to eliminate internal and customer issues.
- Support plant training using AE University modules.
- Lead and support Lessons Learned (LL) and Design for Quality (DFQ) processes.
- Support QRCM deployment in the plant.
- Manage day‑to‑day activities of Quality Technicians.
- Ensure training paths for Quality Technicians are followed.
- Promote and maintain a strong quality mindset within the plant.
- Technical high school diploma required.
- Post‑secondary education in a related field (Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and 8D problem solving.
- Experience with measurement systems (Gage R&R, MSA, SPC, GD&T).
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ethical and professional behavior when interacting with customers.
