SITE SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING TECHNICIAN -
MISSION
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible to oversee and guarantee cross-border inbound and outbound shipments, including customs and legal documentation to ensure sure timely provision of parts and packaging for assembly at Windsor. This role also:
- Guarantees the internal compliance standards are met in transport and external warehousing operations
- Contributes to maintaining proper inventory levels/storage space inside both the factory and the external warehouse
- Handles internal and external complaints, and maintains high delivery ratings and supplier logistics management
- Complies with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Supports the successful implementation of the Transportation Management System and Control Tower
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Grade 12-OSSD required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or a related field preferred
- 3+ years experience in relevant Materials, Logistics or Supply Chain role
- Supply chain experience at an automotive Tier 1 supplier in a JIT/JIS environment
- Ability to communicate in Spanish with Mexico supply base
- Experience working with Mexican/US Customs
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and 14001, and Customer Specific Requirements experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with Health & Safety procedures
