MISSION

Main mission:

1. Ensure a large of the tests carry out of the IVC
2. Contribute to the exploitation of results by encoding the results in the LIMS / in QDA
3. Ensure the proper functioning of test benches in compliance with the established TPM I and II
4. Ensure the proper use of the infrastructure, compliance with quality and safety procedures and actively participate in innovative improvements
5. Participate in innovative projects to develop the laboratory and/or testing methods
6. Able to replace the IVC coordinator if needed

Responsibilities & Activities

Outline the key areas of responsibility for this position, including the related activities and eventual authorities

 Responsibility 1: Ensure the correct execution of IVC tests with correct and accurate interpretation of the results (e.g.: welds, optical microscopy, tractions, ventilation, leak test etc.)

• Manages and executes tests with 100% autonomy
• Able to perform all test groups for IVC FS
• Able to train newcomers on his/her own test ranges

Responsibility 2: Contribute to the exploitation of the results by encoding the results in the QDA

• Analyze the results, highlight any anomalies and if necessary, communicate with his hierarchy
• Ensure that the results are correctly entered into the laboratory database LIMS / QDA
• Able to discuss and review the specifications (specifications in English) of the tests if the results / test procedures are questionable
• Able to repeat the test without the presence of the Coordinator or Manager

Responsibility 3: Ensure the proper functioning of test benches in compliance with established TPM I and II

• Perfectly masters the functions of its test benches
• Ensures their optimal use
• Completes the TPM sheets as defined on its test benches
• Proposes the appropriate layout for its test benches, keeps the device files and the flow chart for IVC tanks
• Compliance with and optimization of the 5S established for its test benches
• Ensure that the means used to characterize product conformity are well calibrated, otherwise, communicate with its hierarchy

Responsibility 4: Ensure the proper use of the infrastructure, compliance with quality and safety procedures, and propose innovative improvements in his/ her field

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IVC procedures and test instructions in his/her field domain
• Ensure that the procedures available on its test benches are the correct procedures to apply
• Propose and implement changes to the IVC procedures and test instructions that fall within its area of knowledge
• Ensure that they comply with the organization (instructions, procedures, etc.) in place and report any anomalies to his hierarchy
• As a specialist in a specific area of testing, lead the team in continuous improvement of testing in its area
• Respects the job descriptions defined for each test bench
• According to individual basic technical knowledge, associated with the essential activities of the laboratory, support the laboratory for: basic maintenance, basic IT support, purchasing consumables, etc.
• Able to lead workshops to improve laboratory practices

Responsibility 5: Participate in innovative projects to develop the laboratory and/or testing methods

• Be part of strategic projects to develop the IVC as a competence center and center of excellence
• Able to develop new testing methods, according to international standards and/or scientific studies, to improve laboratory performance and/or accuracy

Responsibility 5: Able to replace the IVC coordinator when needed

• Able to distribute IVC reports
• Ensure that the means used to characterize product conformity are well calibrated, otherwise, trigger the activity to get it repaired/calibrated
• Support requests from factories and seek additional technical information on testing when needed
• Able to conduct conference calls in English to support factories worldwide whole in solving quality problems, linked to IVC results/tests
• Able to manage QDA and add new control plan for IVC testing specifications via SharePoint and with project teams

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Personal Background

• Graduated technician or equivalent experience (more than 6 years in an automotive product testing lab)
• Chinese and fluent level of English
• Very good knowledge of PC and associated tools (Outlook, Excel macros, Power Point, Word, etc.)
• Very good level of autonomy (A according to IVC roadmap)

Job Technical skills

• Adaptation time to the role – 6 months
• Able to develop and maintain knowledge of equipment
• Good knowledge or able to develop knowledge of the fuel system
• Good knowledge of electricity and mechanics
• Good knowledge of electronics
• Knowledge of Lab view is an advantage
• Knowledge of VBA programming (Excel) is an advantage
