Job Position
Core Job Responsibilities
- Automation Scheme Design and Technical Specification Formulation:
- Based on the production capacity requirements, process standards, and OPM specifications of battery pack production lines, lead the design of automation system technical schemes and the compilation of SPEC (Technical Specification), clarifying the electrical system architecture, functional indicators, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in the feasibility analysis and technical selection of new production line automation projects, evaluate the adaptability and economy of automation equipment (such as robots, conveyor lines, testing equipment), and output technical evaluation reports.
- Electrical Design and Compliance Control:
- Conduct the design of electrical schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and layout diagrams. Use tools such as AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN to complete drawing and version management.
- Responsible for the selection of electrical components (PLC, sensors, inverters, contactors, etc.), compilation of BOM lists, and cost control. Ensure the selection meets safety standards (such as UL, CE) and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to complete the compliance review of electrical design, ensuring the design scheme meets the high-voltage safety, fire safety, and environmental protection-related regulations for battery pack production.
- PLC/HMI Programming and System Debugging:
- Responsible for the development, debugging, and optimization of PLC programs (preferably Siemens S7 series, Rockwell ControlLogix, Mitsubishi Q series, etc.), realizing automated control logic of production lines (such as process linkage, abnormal alarm, data collection).
- Complete the design of HMI (WinCC, Intouch, FactoryTalk View, etc.) interfaces, variable association, and script writing to ensure convenient operation and clear data visualization.
- Conduct communication debugging between PLC and HMI, SCADA systems, industrial robots, and testing equipment, proficient in industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP.
- Equipment Verification and On-site Implementation:
- Lead PAT (Plant Acceptance Test) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) of equipment, formulate test plans, record test data, and troubleshoot and solve technical problems during the test process.
- Participate in on-site installation guidance and wiring verification of automation equipment, coordinate on-site debugging work, including single-machine debugging, online debugging, and load testing, to ensure equipment meets the designed production capacity and quality requirements.
- Compile delivery documents such as equipment operation manuals, maintenance manuals, and debugging reports, and complete the transfer of technical knowledge to the production and operation and maintenance teams.
- Operation and Maintenance and Continuous Optimization of Automation Systems:
- Provide technical support for the daily operation and maintenance of automated production lines, quickly respond to and solve electrical faults, program abnormalities, and other problems during production, reducing equipment downtime.
- Continuously monitor the operating data of automation systems (such as equipment failure rate, operating efficiency), analyze bottleneck links, and improve system stability and efficiency through program optimization, control logic adjustment, component upgrading, etc.
- Participate in production line automation upgrading and digital transformation projects (such as the introduction of AI visual inspection, MES system data docking), output technical schemes, and promote their implementation.
- Cross-departmental Collaboration and Supplier Management:
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, industrial engineering (IE), equipment maintenance, and other departments to clarify automation needs, synchronize project progress, and solve cross-departmental technical collaboration issues.
- Communicate with automation equipment suppliers and component suppliers, conduct technical communication, progress control, and quality acceptance to ensure timely technical support and delivery from the supply chain.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Electrical Automation, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Automation, or related fields.
- Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in automation engineering for new energy battery pack (or power battery, energy storage battery) production lines. Familiarity with the application scenarios of automation equipment in battery pack assembly, testing, PACK, and other processes.
- Experience in the entire process of complete automation projects (construction of new production lines, automation upgrading of old production lines) from scheme design to implementation and delivery is preferred.
- Familiarity with the automotive industry IATF 16949 quality system and battery production safety specifications (high-voltage safety, fire safety) is preferred.
- Professional Skills:
- Proficient in the programming and debugging of at least one mainstream PLC (Siemens S7-1200/1500, Rockwell ControlLogix, Mitsubishi Q series) and master structured programming methods.
- Skilled in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN, and able to independently complete the compilation of electrical schematic diagrams and BOM lists.
- Familiar with the development and application of HMI/SCADA systems, and master the configuration and debugging of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP).
- Possess knowledge of electrical safety and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) to ensure compliance during design and debugging.
- Language Ability: English as a working language, proficient in reading English technical documents, participating in English technical meetings, and writing English project reports.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong project management awareness, able to reasonably plan project progress, coordinate resources, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Excellent problem analysis and solving skills, clear logical thinking, and ability to quickly locate and solve complex technical problems of automation systems.
- Good cross-departmental communication and coordination skills, team spirit, and pressure resistance. Able to adapt to business trips or overtime requirements at project sites.
- Have a sense of continuous learning and pay attention to the development trends of automation and intelligent technologies in the new energy industry (such as Industry 4.0, Digital Twin).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold relevant professional certifications: such as Electrician Certificate (high-voltage/low-voltage), PLC Engineer Certification, Automation System Integration Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, etc.
- Have automation project experience in leading new energy vehicle companies (BYD, NIO, Li Auto, etc.) or battery enterprises (CATL, EVE Energy, GOTION HIGH-TECH, etc.).
- Possess project experience in MES system data docking, industrial Internet platform data collection, or master data analysis/testing tools such as Python and LabVIEW.
- Participated in the scheme design and implementation of battery pack production line projects with high automation rate (≥80%).
