Job Position
Core Job Responsibilities
- Full Lifecycle Management of Industrial Projects: Lead the project initiation, feasibility analysis, scheme design, resource coordination, progress control, and final acceptance of battery pack-related industrial projects, including the construction of new production lines and the upgrading and renovation of old ones. Ensure projects meet objectives on time, within quality standards, and within budget. Conduct scenario-based line balance analysis to identify production bottlenecks, formulate and implement optimization plans, and improve the overall OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) of production lines.
- Production Line Planning and Layout Optimization: Based on production capacity requirements, process flows, and lean principles, complete the design and optimization of the planar layout of battery pack production lines. Reasonably plan the spatial configuration of equipment, workstations, material areas, and passages. Use tools such as CAD and logistics simulation to simulate layout schemes, verify their rationality, and reduce layout adjustment costs.
- Logistics and Inventory Management: Responsible for the establishment and optimization of the production line logistics system, monitor and improve core indicators such as CLF (Line-side Logistics Efficiency) and CPF (Logistics Cost Efficiency). Optimize material flow paths, standardize the storage and flow processes of WIP (Work in Progress), and reduce inventory backlogs and material waste. Collaborate with supply chain and warehousing departments to establish FG (Finished Goods) warehousing, outbound, and traceability management mechanisms to ensure the smooth operation of the logistics chain.
- Application of Core Industrial Engineering Technologies: Conduct accurate time study and formulate standard operating time (ST) to establish a comprehensive time database. Compile and optimize standard operating procedures (SOP) to guide frontline employees in standardized operations. Promote the application of lean production tools (VSM Value Stream Mapping, 5S, SMED Single-Minute Exchange of Die, TPM Total Productive Maintenance, etc.) in production lines to continuously eliminate waste in the production process.
- Efficiency and Cost Control: Establish a KPI monitoring system related to production line efficiency and costs (such as per capita production capacity, labor hours per unit product, energy consumption costs, material loss rate, etc.), and conduct regular data analysis and review. Formulate targeted optimization strategies for inefficient and high-cost links and promote cross-departmental implementation to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Compliance and Safety Assurance: Combine the production characteristics of battery packs (such as high-voltage safety, fire safety, and environmental protection requirements) and integrate compliance standards into production line planning, process design, and operational specifications. Collaborate with the EHS department to conduct risk identification and control, ensuring production processes comply with national new energy battery industry standards and internal company safety regulations.
- Cross-departmental Collaboration and Implementation: Establish efficient collaboration mechanisms with production, technology, quality, procurement, equipment, and other departments. Synchronize production line planning needs, communicate optimization plans, and promote the closure of problems. Collect feedback from frontline production, continuously iterate processes and plans, and ensure the effective implementation of industrial engineering-related work.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, New Energy Science and Engineering, or related fields.
- Work Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience in industrial engineering (IE) for new energy battery pack (or power battery, energy storage battery) production lines. Familiarity with the entire process of battery pack assembly, testing, PACK, etc., is preferred. Experience in building new production lines from scratch or large-scale production line optimization projects is an advantage.
- Professional Skills:
- Proficient in core industrial engineering tools and methods, including line balance analysis, time measurement (MOD method/stopwatch method, etc.), value stream analysis (VSM), lean production promotion, and production capacity planning.
- Skilled in using layout design tools such as CAD and Visio. Experience in using logistics simulation software (e.g., FlexSim) or data analysis tools (advanced Excel functions, Minitab, Python, etc.) is preferred.
- Understand the working principles and operation and maintenance logic of battery pack production-related equipment (such as automated assembly lines, testing equipment), and be able to carry out production line optimization in combination with equipment characteristics.
- Familiar with relevant laws, regulations, and standards in the new energy industry (such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, battery production safety specifications) and have a sense of compliance management.
- Language Ability: English as a working language, proficient in reading English technical documents, conducting English meeting communications, and writing English reports.
- Soft Skills: Strong project management capabilities, problem analysis and solving skills, and clear logical thinking. Good cross-departmental communication and coordination skills, team spirit, and pressure resistance. Ability to promote the implementation of complex optimization plans.
- Industry Cognition: Pay attention to the technological development trends of the new energy vehicle and battery industry, and understand the automation and intelligent upgrading directions of battery pack production lines is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold lean production-related certifications (such as Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, Lean Production Specialist, etc.).
- Have relevant work experience in foreign-funded enterprises, large new energy vehicle companies, or leading battery enterprises (e.g., CATL, BYD, EVE Energy, etc.).
- Participated in battery pack production line automation transformation and digital transformation projects, with relevant scheme design and implementation experience.
