MISSION

Assure the assistance of Product/ Process development during trials and industrialization processes.

Contribute for inspections of prototypes parts for External and Internal (QCPT) deliveries.

Assist Plant Quality in factory where trials and productions are located in order to validate.

Product/Process including trainings and know-how transfer.

Be able to support other Clusters if necessary.

Respect the department quality procedure.

Alert in case of non-conformities or abnormal situation.

Accuracy and reliability of data.

Responsibilities & Activities

Outline the key areas of responsibility for this position, including the related activities and eventual authorities

• He/she have authority to stop machines in case of immediate risk.
• Consciously accept safety training, actively participate in safety activities and comply with safety regulations.
• Report unsafe status and behaviors in time, and actively participate in safety improvement.
• Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Participate to preparation of trial (parts needed, CAD/drawings, gages tooling, inspections sheets…)
• During meeting between QE and Metrology Engineer, upon QE request. Initiate the trial preparation check-list.
• Participate to meeting (Conf call) organized by IE to prepare trial. Finalize the trial preparation checklist.
• Implement all activities according to check list defined during preparation trial and validate iterative steps in agreement with QE until end of trial.
• As needed, deviation waivers can be created and submitted to QE for decision (top production or not).
• Writes, analyzes and suggests improvements through control report, shared and approved by QE before communication to team.
• Analyses prototype quality and recommends corrective actions in case of deviation.
• Identifies and warns on quality risks and deviations on project.
• Facilitate Corrective Action Activities (e.g.: 8D).
• Contribute for inspections of prototypes parts for External and Internal (QCPT) deliveries
• Perform inspections following upon QE requests
• As needed, deviation waivers can be created and submitted to QE for deliveries (External & Internal).
• Participate to machine set-up of prototype parts and serial tooling ( including repeatability &

reproducibility/process capabilities studies) performed at Plants ( Dimensional and welding inspections)

• Assist Plant Quality in factory where trials and productions are located in order to validate.
• Product/Process including trainings and know-how transfer.
• Perform on job trainings during trials and launch of production to ensure the hand-over of Product /Process to the plant.
• Be able to support other Clusters if necessary.
• Depending on the availability of other Metrology Engineer in China and Programs requests, the Metrology Engineer:
• Can be asked by the Plant Quality Mgr. to support any factory in China. In that case, the Metrology Engineer will perform activities 1 to 3 in-situ.

Personal Background

Quality Technician level (Plastics, ERP, Physics and measurements…)

Job Technical skills

Global definition & tolerances knowledge : read drawings and ISO system -U

Use of CMM (or equivalent) - Coordinate Measuring Machine - U

Use of calipers / ultra-sonic gauges/ depth gauges/ roughness/ profile projectors for Coex-TSBM - O

Proficient excel word (Control report) - L

Languages : English spoken and written - L

Job Soft skills

Able to communicate in English

Ability to work in a team environment

Must have excellent organization skills

Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Power Point, Minitab, Access, Visio
