PLANT ENGINEER JUNIOR – Arevalo, SPAIN
Job description
Under the responsibility of the Senior Plant Engineer, the Junior Plant Engineer will contribute to the management of a specific scope within an Optimap project or lead a small-scale Optimap project, with a focus on plant industrialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the interface between the project team and the plant.
- Create and maintain the Plant Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Analyze customer requirements and ensure alignment with plant capabilities.
- Organize and coordinate production runs across all production areas (injection, paint, and assembly).
- Manage inbound material requests with suppliers and monitor delivery schedules.
- Prepare and follow up on customer deliveries to ensure project milestones and targets are achieved (quality, cost, timing).
- Monitor and drive the convergence of project KPIs and performance indicators.
Role Purpose & Development Opportunity: This position offers a strong opportunity to complement academic studies by applying theoretical knowledge in a real industrial environment. The Junior Plant Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team and gain initial responsibility in project management, covering quality, cost, and deadlines.
This experience can serve as a stepping stone for future career development within the company.
Profile
You are a highly motivated young graduate from an Engineering School or University with a strong interest for engineering and/or industrial enginering. As part of your studies, you have already undertaken an international curriculum (e.g., one semester or year outside your home country).
You are a team player, open-minded and have good organizational and time management skills. You are familiar with analytical tools (Power BI, VBA). You are curious and always on the look-out for improving industrial and manufacturing processes.
A first experience or internship in the automotive sector can be a plus.
Your English is fluent, and you have a good proficiency in Spanish.
